Pigs Look to Even Series with Clippers

The Lehigh Valley IronPigs will look to even the series with the Columbus Clippers on Tuesday night at Coca-Cola Park. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m.

LHP James Russell (2-3, 5.01) gets the ball for manager Dave Brundage's squad on Tuesday. The southpaw was tagged with the loss on Thursday at Norfolk when he gave up six runs on eight hits while walking two in 5.1 IP. Over his last four starts, Russell is 1-2 with a 10.00 ERA (18.0/20).

RHP Adam Plutko (1-1, 3.09) will be on the bump for Columbus opposite Russell. Plutko was dealt the loss on Thursday vs. Columbus after allowing two runs on six hits to go along with three walks and two strikeouts over six innings of work. The UCLA product is ranked as the No. 14 product in the Indians system according to Baseball America and was 3-3 with a 3.27 ERA in 13 GS with Double-A Akron this season before being promoted to Columbus.

After tossing a scoreless inning on Monday, Pigs RHP Colton Murray has now put together five consecutive scoreless outings over 6.2 IP with the IronPigs dating back to April 25.

The first 3,000 fans 18 and older in attendance on Tuesday will receive an IronPigs Water Bottle presented by Cedar Crest College. Tuesday is also Nurses Appreciation Night at Coca-Cola Park.
