Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
(Allentown, Pa) - The Lehigh Valley IronPigs (29-40) had plenty of magic in their 11-4 win over Worcester (37-30) on Friday night. The Pigs managed 12 hits and saw every hitter reach base in the victory. The game saw a combined five errors.
Mickey Moniak hit an RBI triple against Connor Seabold (0-1) in the bottom of the first inning to give Lehigh Valley a 1-0 lead. It was Moniak's fifth triple of the season. Worcester tied the game against Tyler Alexander (2-2) in the top of the second inning as Josh Ockimey hit an RBI single to score Chad De La Guerra.
Moniak struck again in the bottom of the third inning against Seabold when he hit a two-run double to give Lehigh Valley a 3-1 lead. The Pigs scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth inning on two errors - a fielding error by Ockimey and a throwing error by right fielder Yairo Munoz. Seabold, the former Phillies farmhand, pitched 3 1/3 innings and allowed six runs (three earned) off three hits and four walks with one strikeout.
