Piepkorn Rejoins RedHawks for Playoff Drive

FARGO, ND - The Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks have re-signed OF Jeremiah Piepkorn for the remainder of the 2013 season. Piepkorn will be in the line-up tonight as the RedHawks open a three-game series against the Kansas City T-Bones at Newman Outdoor Field.
Piepkorn appeared in nine games for the RedHawks in late July and early August and batted .286 with two home runs, eight RBIs and five runs scored. His signing comes ahead of the American Association roster deadline at 10:59 p.m. tonight. Players on the roster at the deadline are eligible to play in the post-season. Piepkorn previously played for Fargo-Moorhead in the 2008-2010 seasons. The former North Dakota State University star played in the Cincinnati Reds organization from 2004-2007.
The Magic Number for the RedHawks to claim a second-straight North Division title is two entering tonight's action. Any combination of RedHawks wins and Winnipeg Goldeyes loses will clinch the title for Fargo-Moorhead.
