"Philadelphia Union fans are the backbone of this organization and we cannot wait to welcome back all fans and the electricity they bring," said Philadelphia Union President Tim McDermott. "While we look forward to re-opening our gates to our entire fanbase, the health and safety of our fans, players, coaches, and staff remains a top priority and certain measures will remain in place, such as masking and eliminating contact points, to ensure all fans can safely enjoy their match day experience. The cheers, energy, and devotion our fans and the Sons of Ben bring to a home match are incredibly special and absolutely motivate our team. We are truly excited for the Philadelphia fans who have waited for this moment for over a year."
Upon reopening at full capacity, Season Ticket Members will be able to return to their reserved seats and group and single game tickets, as well as suites, will once again be available for sale to the general public. The Union values the health and safety of all its fans and will hold designed portions of sections that will remain socially distanced for those fans who are still seeking space. Season Ticket Members will receive an email this week with additional details on accessing their tickets and how to relocate to a socially distanced section if desired. Single game tickets will be on-sale starting May 21.
All attendees will still be required to wear a mask at all times in Subaru Park, except when actively eating or drinking. Fans will continue to arrive with a mobile ticket and parking pass and only be able to purchase concessions via credit or debit card. Additionally, MLS protocols will still be in place to ensure the safety of players.
The last time the Union played in front of a full stadium was October 20, 2019 in their historic 4-3 comeback win over New York Red Bulls for their first playoff win in club history. The Union look forward to introducing all fans to new stadium features including one of the largest 4k videoboards in MLS, the newly created Heineken Deck and new concessionaires such as Chef Big Rube's, Hot Dog Factory, Philip's Steaks and Rita's Ice. In addition, the Union recently announced a brand new zero landfill initiative to make Subaru Park the first ever zero landfill stadium in MLS.
