
Philadelphia Union Announce 2021 Preseason Schedule

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union today announced updates to their 2021 preseason schedule. The team has added a fourth scrimmage vs. Orlando City SC on March 24 and have announced D.C. United as their opponent in their friendly at Subaru Park on March 31.
The team continues to train in market this week before returning to the club's pre-season base in Clearwater, Florida on Friday, where they will continue their partnership with Visit St. Pete Clearwater for the seventh consecutive season. The team will then open the round of 16 of the 2021 Scotiabank Concacaf Champions League on the road in Costa Rica against Deportivo Saprissa in the first leg on April 7, before hosting the Costa Rican side at Subaru Park on April 14.
During their yearly pre-season trip the Union have scheduled a pair of closed-door scrimmages at Joe DiMaggio Field: Monday, March 15 at 11:00 a.m. ET vs. Orlando City SC and Saturday, March 20 at 3:00 p.m. ET vs. Chicago Fire FC. They will then travel to Orlando on March 24 where they will once again face Orlando City SC at 12:30 p.m. ET before flying back to Philadelphia. After returning to Philadelphia, the Union will train in market and play a fourth closed-door friendly vs. D.C. United at Subaru Park on March 31 at 3:00 p.m. ET.
