
Philadelphia Union Acquire $50,000 in Allocation Money from FC Dallas

CHESTER, Pa. - Philadelphia Union today announced they have acquired $50,000 in General Allocation Money (GAM) from FC Dallas. In exchange, the Union have traded the Homegrown Player rights to midfielder and YSC Academy graduate Kalil ElMedkhar.
The Union will also retain a percentage of any future sell-on fees for ElMedkhar. Philadelphia will receive additional GAM from Dallas if ElMedkhar meets certain performance-based metrics while with club.
A native of Middletown, DE., ElMedkhar most recently played four seasons for the University of Kentucky where he scored 20 goals and registered 21 assists in 66 games (50 starts).
Prior to committing to Kentucky, ElMedkhar played for the Union Academy where he featured for both the U-15/16 and the U-17/18 teams, scoring 13 goals and adding four assists in 55 matches, before graduating from YSC Academy in 2017.
