
Phil Fox Records Hat Trick, Brahmas Win Again

NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (November 12) - The Brahmas topped the Blaze 5-2 on Saturday night for their fourth straight win, as Phil Fox recorded his first professional hat trick.
The Brahmas got a first period goal from Chad Woollard for the second straight night, after the forward went scoreless through the first seven games of the season. Brendon Hodge also added a goal for Texas in the first period, giving him three on the season.
But the story of Saturday night's game was Phil Fox, who fuond the back of the net three times in the last two periods to complete the first hat trick of his professional career. Fox now has four goals on the season, to go along with four assists.
Brahmas netminder Steve Silverthorn was strong in goal, stopping 29 of the 31 shots fired by the Blaze. Bloomington's starting goalie Marco Emond was pulled after the Brahmas scored their third goal of the night, and replacement Zane Kalemba saved 23 of the 25 shots he faced.
For the second night in a row, the Brahmas put 43 shots on goal. The Brahmas swept the weekend pair against the Blaze, winning 3-2 in a shootout on Friday night, and 5-2 on Saturday behind Phil Fox's hat trick.
For the Brahmas, it was their straight win and fifth in their last six games. The next test for Texas is the Sundogs in Arizona for a three-game series beginning Thursday, November 17. The Brahmas return home on Wednesday, November 23 to play one more against the Sundogs at 7:00 pm as NYTEX honors the military.
