HAMILTON, ONTARIO. The Hamilton Bulldogs started their weekend set in Peterborough on Thursday night challenging the Petes for the third time this season winning an incredible 10-6 decision.

Lawson Sherk got the action going for the Bulldogs just 0:57 seconds into the game, taking a turnover on the right wing boards, forced by a hit from Alex Pharand, and rifled the past Petes goaltender Michael Simpson for his 4th of the season giving the Bulldogs the 1-0 lead. Despite the ice being tilted towards the Bulldogs, the Petes found an answer on a 2-on-1 at 12:33 with Kaspars Ziemins scoring his 3rd to tie the game. With the period winding down, Konnor Smith would turn the puck over in the left wing corner of the Petes zone to George Diaco who found Jan Mysak alone in the slot for his 11th of the season at 18:19 giving the Bulldogs the 2-1 lead heading to the room after 20 minutes.

The second period could only be described as wild with 8 total goals, 6 coming from the Bulldogs.

Starting just 0:52 seconds into the period with the Bulldogs on the power-play George Diaco would record his 7th of the year on a beautiful triangle passing play with Logan Morrison & Avery Hayes. Morrison's 5th of the season was next at 3:34 with the Bulldogs again on the power-play, following up a Nathan Staios shot. Patrick Thomas was next recording his first OHL goal on a shot from the high slot off a Cole Brown feed with Noah Nelson collecting his first OHL point on the secondary assist at 4:59. The next pair were the same, as Navrin Mutter would collect a left wing feed from Nathan Staios firing shots over Michael Simpson, at 6:44, and Tye Austin, at 9:07, giving the Bulldogs a 7-1 lead on his 3rd and 4th of the season.

Peterborough, after not recording a shot until the 11:15 mark of the 2nd would get back to back goals from Sam Alfano & Tucker Robertson to cut the lead to 7-3. At 18:18 Alex Pharand would record his first in the OHL off a goal mouth scramble with Staios recording his 4th assist of the game, giving the Bulldogs an 8-3 lead through 40 minutes.

The offensive storm continued into the third period, with Tucker Robertson recording his 2nd of the game at 1:29 on the power-play. Hamilton would immediately respond with Jan Mysak recording his 12th of the season off the ensuing face-off from George Diaco, his 4th point of the night. Joe Carroll & Tucker Robertson would record back to back goals for the Petes 5:53 & 10:31, both on the power-play to close the game to 9-6. The Bulldogs would put the final exclamation point on a big offensive night as Cole Brown took a below the goal line feed from Logan Morrison, tucking it around Tye Austin on the backhand for his 2nd of the season at 13:36 ending a wild night of scoring in a 10-6 Bulldogs victory.

The Hamilton Bulldogs return to action on Saturday night, November 20th hosting the Sudbury Wolves at FirstOntario Centre with puck drop at 7:00pm.
