Barber Poles Visit North Bay on Thursday Night

The Ottawa 67's (10-5-1) kick off a two-day swing through Northern Ontario, tonight, visiting the North Bay Battalion (9-6-1) in Thursday night action. Puck drop is set for 7:00pm EST, and Barber Poles fans can catch all the action with a CHL TV subscription. Kenny Walls has the call on TSN1200.

The 67's have won two straight, edging the Oshawa Generals by a final score of 7-5 on Sunday, and taking sole possession of first place in the Eastern Conference. Vsevolod Gaidamak posted his second consecutive two-goal game, with Adam Varga adding two of his own. Vinzenz Rohrer scored the winner, with Cam Tolnai, and Dylan Robinson tallying the others. Will Cranley was stellar in goal, posting a 30-save performance.

North Bay can tie Ottawa for first with a win tonight, currently leading the Central Division with 19 points. The Troops blanked the Sudbury Wolves 4-0, Sunday, as Ty Nelson scored two, and teammates Matvey Petrov and Kyle Jackson also found the twine. Goaltender Joe Vrbetic made 14 saves for his third career shutout.

These two teams have met once on the season, with a last-minute penalty shot goal by Robinson giving the 67's a 2-1 victory on November 7.
