Salt Lake City, UT - Brandon Pfaadt twirled seven shutout innings with eight strikeouts, one walk, and only three hits allowed as the Reno Aces (8-9) defeated the Salt Lake Bees (8-10) Thursday night at Smith's Ballpark.

Reno's starting pitching has been stellar through three games, all wins, in Salt Lake City. Tommy Henry, Blake Walston, and Pfaadt have combined to allow only three earned runs in 19 innings over the series' first three games.

Thursday's affair was scoreless until Bees outfielder Mickey Moniak committed an error in the seventh, giving the Aces a 1-0 lead. Salt Lake responded with an RBI, game-tying single from David Fletcher in the eighth that scored Taylor Jones.

The Aces loaded the bases with nobody out in the ninth and made it count. Diego Castillo drove in the go-ahead run by beating out a potential inning-ending double play before Ali Sánchez added insurance with an RBI knock to right field.

Pfaadt picked up his 400th Minor League strikeout in the win and owns a 1.62 ERA over his last three starts.

The Aces' only road trip to Utah continues tomorrow as they face the Salt Lake Bees in game four of the six-game series, with the first pitch set for Friday at 5:35 p.m. PT.

Aces Notables:
