Petes vs. Frontenacs Game Postponed

December 17, 2022 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Peterborough Petes News Release

(Peterborough, ON) - The Ontario Hockey League, in conjunction with the Peterborough Petes and Kingston Frontenacs, announced this afternoon that Peterborough's home game on Saturday, December 17, 2022 between the Petes and Frontenacs has been postponed.

The game has been postponed due to the tragic passing of London Knights player, Abakar Kazbekov, who was close with many people around the league, including several individuals involved in the postponed game. The game will be replayed at a date and time to be determined by the league and teams.

Digital tickets issued for the game will be reissued the week of the rescheduled game. Physical tickets will also be honoured for the rescheduled games, and will not need to be reprinted or reissued.

Once the rescheduled date is announced, tickets for the rescheduled game can be exchanged for future regular season Petes home games by contacting the PMC Grant Thornton Box Office at least two business days before the rescheduled game is played.

The Petes next home game will be played on Thursday, December 29 against the Mississauga Steelheads.
