Peoria Pirates Chris Robinson was selected the Ironman of the Week vs. the Tulsa Talons by the af2 league offices.
Robinson (6-3, 260, New Hampshire) with less than a minute left in the first half, sacked Talon Quarterback Bob Bees on a fourth and goal that was recovered by Pirates teammate Joe Peters. Robinson also had a season best 4 carries for 14 yards and a touchdown.
The Peoria Pirates travel to Florida to take on the Florida Firecats on August 27, 2004 for a chance to be crowned "af2 Arena Cup Champions." This game is a repeat of the 2002 contest in which the Pirates defeated the Firecats 65-47 win the 2002 af2 Arena Cup. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:10 EST.
