Rough Riders to Face Off in Hot Dog Eating Contest

Three Peoria Rough Riders and three Community Workshop Training Center consumers will face off in a battle of hot dog eating supremacy this Friday, May 5th at the Community Workshop Training Center. CWTC's training center is located at 3215 N. University Street in Peoria, IL. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m.
The participants will compete to see who can eat the most "Wonder Dogs" in a specified period of time. Velvet Freeze of Peoria will be providing the "Wonder Dogs" for the contest. The public is encouraged to stop by and cheer the participants on to victory!
This event will also serve as a pep rally for the Rough Riders who will look to gain their first victory of the season this Saturday, May 6th against the Evansville Blue Cats. Plenty of great tickets are available by calling the Peoria Civic Center box office at 673-3200, online at www.ticketmaster.com or by visiting the Peoria Civic Center Box Office. Kickoff for this weekend's game is 7:00 P.M.
