Payne Earns Player of the Week Honorable Mention

Peoria Rough Rider Dominic Payne was named United Indoor Football Defensive Player of the Week-Honorable Mention for Week 11.
The 6'4", 238 lb. defensive end from Western State College in Colorado was a spark plug for the Rough Riders defense. Payne tallied 9½ tackles (7 solo, 5 assisted), sacked Bandits Quarterback Hosea Harris 4½ times, broke up a pass and returned and interception for 5 yards.
"Dominic deserves this honor. He played a heck of a game and provided a big lift for us" stated Rough Riders Head Coach Chuck Goodwin.
This is the first honor for the Rough Riders of the 2006 season. Peoria travels to Sioux Falls to take on the undefeated and defending UIF United Bowl Champion, Sioux Falls Storm on Saturday, June 10th.
