EVANSVILLE, IN: The Evansville BlueCats would like to invite all members of local labor unions to the upcoming game against the Fort Wayne Freedom. Union members will be admitted free with their union card. The game will be held at Roberts Stadium on Saturday, June 10th at 7:05pm. This game is sponsored by Fifth Third Bank.
To claim your free ticket, all local labor union members with union cards should go to the Ticketmaster box office at Roberts Stadium on the day of the game and pick up a complimentary ticket.
The BlueCats (3-7) are coming off a heart-wrenching 51-48 loss to the Bloomington Extreme in last week's action. After trailing 27-13 at halftime, the BlueCats exploded for 28 points in the 3rd quarter to gain a 41-37 advantage. Midway through the 4th quarter, Bloomington tallied 10 more points to jump out to a 47-41 lead, but the BlueCats battled right back and kicked a field goal to cut the lead to 3. A pair of safeties allowed Evansville to claim a 48-47 lead with only seconds left in the game, but unfortunately the BlueCats failed to advance a late kickoff out of the endzone, which gave Bloomington one point and the tie. Bloomington scored a field goal with only seconds left on the clock to secure a 51-48 victory.
The always resilient BlueCats are ready to get back in the win column and improve their playoff chances as they meet the Fort Wayne Freedom for the second time this season. The BlueCats defeated the Freedom 33-31 on the road in their first meeting this season. The Fort Wayne Freedom (3-7) are coming off a tough 52-29 loss to the Ohio Valley Greyhounds. Look for another intense match up as these two in-state rivals take the field on Saturday, June 10 at Roberts Stadium.
