Omaha Beef News Release
Omaha, Nebraska - The Omaha Beef broke their two-week skid of losses and knocked off the Rock River Raptors in a 41-30 win at the Rockpile. The win improved Omaha's record to 3-3 on the season.
Beef quarterback Chuck Wright threw for 138-yards and 5 TD's, with two each going to RJ Rollins and Micah Arnold. Rollins also rushed for a career high 113-yards from 27 carries and added another TD on the ground. He leads the league in touchdowns with 14 through the first six weeks of the season.
For the Raptors (3-3), Ben Sankey threw for 130-yards and 2 TD's with Luke McArdle being the main target after pulling down 7 catches for 88-yards and one TD.
Beef Head Coach Robert Fuller says, "This was a big win for our program, it was a total team effort! Our defense played outstanding ball as usual and our offense had a strong and consistent showing. Our offensive line had their best performance of the season that allowed RJ Rollins to play at the high level that he is capable of. I am encouraged by our progress," says Fuller.
The Beef return home on May 20th, as they will battle the Bloomington Extreme, the UIF's newest team. It's "Military Night" and anyone with a valid Military ID gets 2 tickets for the price of 1 in Touchdown Alley. Individual game tickets still remain for all Beef home games and can be purchased by calling Jenny Cheney at the Omaha Beef Football office at 402-346-2333.
