Peoria May 12-15 Homestand Preview

Peoria Chiefs News Release


The Chiefs will return home from their ten-game road trip on May 12-15 for a four-game homestand against the Quad Cities River Bandits. The River Bandits are affiliated with the St. Louis Cardinals, and this will be the only Cubs vs. Cardinals affiliation battle at O'Brien Field this year. The team will then head back to the road for a three-game set against Beloit before another four-game series against the River Bandits.

Monday, May 12 at 6:30 pm This Monday at O'Brien Field is a Spring Money Monday. All fans will get in for half off the regular admission price and will have the chance to win $50,000!

Wednesday, May 14 at 6:30 pm

Wednesdays at O'Brien Field feature FREE hot dogs and peanuts, presented by Vienna Beef.

Player Profile: Chris Siegfried

Chris Siegfried was selected by the Cubs in the 11th round of last June's draft out of the University of Portland. In his final season with the Pilots, he allowed just six earned runs in 19 2/3 innings of work during conference play. A native of McMinnville, Oregon, he attended Jesuit High School, where in one game he struck out 17 batters. READ MORE

Chiefs and Caterpillar Present Hannah Montana Star Jason Earles

The Peoria Chiefs and Caterpillar are excited to announce the appearance of the Disney Channel's Hannah Montana star Jason Earles on Sunday, June 15th when the Chiefs face the Burlington Bees at 2 pm. Earles will be throwing out a ceremonial first pitch and will then be signing autographs for the general public. READ MORE

Former Illini Star Roger Powell to Give Motivational Speech

The Peoria Chiefs have announced that Reverend Roger Powell Jr., a member of the 2005 University of Illinois National finalist basketball team, will be giving a pre-game motivational speech on May 24 when the Chiefs take on the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers at 6:30 pm. Powell will be speaking at approximately 5:00 pm, and gates will open at 4:30 pm. This Saturday will also feature the first post-game fireworks show of the season.
