
Silver Hawks And Diamondbacks Extend Partnership

SOUTH BEND, IN - South Bend Silver Hawks President, Joe Kernan, was joined by A.J. Hinch, the Director of Player Development for the Arizona Diamondbacks today to announce that a new Player Development Contract has been signed. The contract extends the Silver Hawks relationship as the Class A Affiliate of the Diamondbacks through the 2012 baseball season. The Silver Hawks have been affiliated with the Diamondbacks since 1997.
"We are very happy here in South Bend with the direction of our player development and our relationship with the Silver Hawks", stated Hinch. On behalf of the Silver Hawks, Kernan said, "We are excited to continue our strong relationship with the Diamondbacks and look forward to the next four years with great enthusiasm".
The Silver Hawks face the Fort Wayne Wizards tonight at 7:00 p.m. Tonight marks the start of Friday Fireworks sponsored by 1st Source Bank and WNDU. Tickets are available at the Silver Hawks box office or by phone at 235-9988.
