Williamsport Crosscutters News Release


The Cutters are still in the thick of the hunt for the McNamara Division title. As of today (August 18) Williamsport sits 3 games behind Brooklyn for 1st place in the division. The Cutters still hold the Wild Card playoff spot as of today, with a 5 game lead on Lowell, Aberdeen and Tri-City. The NY-P League playoffs will begin on Sept. 5. We will have further updates as the month rolls on.

The 2002 Cutters set a Williamsport shot-season record with 48 wins. The 2003 squad currently has 37 wins with 16 games left to play. The 2002 Cutters hit the 37 win mark on August 20.

With 7 home games left in the regular season, the Cutters have had 69,563 fans through the turnstiles at Bowman Field for an average of 2,319 per game. The Cutters need to average 1,921 fans the last 7 games to set a new Billtown record!
