LAST WEEK'S RESULTS

Saturday, April 13, Penguins 3, ICECAPS 0

Dominik Uher notched the first multi-goal game of his pro career and Jeff Zatkoff gathered his fifth shutout of the season as the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins downed the St. John's IceCaps, 3-0, at Mile One Centre.

Uher broke a scoreless tie with 2:09 left in the first period, deflecting home his second goal of the season. He then doubled the Penguins' lead at 9:08 of the second with a veritable carbon copy of his first tally. Wilkes-Barre/Scranton added its third goal of the match 2:14 later on Paul Thompson's 19th of the year.

Jeff Zatkoff made 18 saves for his seventh straight win and second shutout in a row.

Sunday, April 14, Penguins 5, ICECAPS 4 (OT)

Chad Kolarik continued his recent hot streak, notching his second hat trick of the season and the game-winning goal in overtime as the Penguins swept the weekend set with a 5-4 win over the IceCaps.

After St. John's Will O'Neill broke a 3-3 tie at 11:54 of the third period, Kolarik took matters into his own hands. Less than three minutes later, Kolarik had evened the contest again with his 30th goal of the season. His end-to-end rush and wrist shot tally at 2:09 of the overtime gave Wilkes-Barre/Scranton the victory.

Alex Grant registered two assists and Trevor Smith chipped in a goal and an assist. Dominik Uher netted his third marker in two games. Goalie Brad Thiessen stopped 19-of-23 to go to 16-11-2 on the season.
