
Penguins announce preseason schedule

WILKES-BARRE, PA - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins will play four preseason games in preparation for the 2006-2007 season, it was announced Wednesday.
The Penguins will play their East Division rivals, the Binghamton Senators and Hershey Bears, twice each (once at home, once on the road) during the exhibition campaign.
The full preseason schedule is:

Fri., Sept. 29 vs. Hershey Bears Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza 7:05 p.m.
Sat., Sept. 30 @ Binghamton Senators Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena 7:05 p.m.
Sun., Oct. 1 @ Hershey Bears Giant Center 5:00 p.m.
During the preseason, the Penguins will be competing against the Bears and the Senators in the third annual "I-81 Puck Cup" Tournament (Hershey replaces Syracuse in this season's installment). The preseason tournament, a round-robin challenge, will have each team playing the other two in a home-and-home series. The team with the most points at the end of the tournament will be presented with the "I-81 Puck Cup" Trophy.
Single game ticket information for the preseason contests will be released at a later date.
