Chicago Wolves News Release
The Chicago Wolves will sponsor Turtle Soup Racing stock car driver Stevie Campbell's racecar for the remainder of his racing season at the Illiana Motor Speedway in Schererville, Ind., each Saturday this summer.
The Wolves logo is now plastered atop Campbell's 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Super Late Model, while the number 94 - which signifies the team's inception in 1994 - runs on its sides.
Before entering the racing circuit, the South Holland native was a professional hockey linesman for 15 years, which includes officiating Wolves contests in both the International Hockey League and the American Hockey League.
"This is the perfect deal for me because it combines the two sports that I am most passionate about," Campbell said. "To be able to put together racing and hockey is an unbelievable feeling for me. In the short time we've run the car, the response has been tremendous. I'm honored to work with the Wolves in this capacity."
The Midwest Sportsman Division's 2001 Rookie of the Year, Campbell has raced in events at the Madison International Speedway, Lake Geneva Raceway, and the Slinger Super Speedway outside of Milwaukee for the last six years. Next season, he will race the Wolves car at the Grundy County Speedway in Morris.
