
Bears announce 2006 exhibition schedule

HERSHEY - The 2006 Calder Cup Champion HERSHEY BEARS have announced the club's 2006 exhibition schedule in preparation for the upcoming season The announcement was made today by BEARS President/GM Doug Yingst.
The BEARS will open up preseason play on Friday, September 29 with a game against the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at Wachovia Arena at 7:05 p.m HERSHEY will then host two home exhibition games on Saturday, September 30 and Sunday, October 1 at GIANT Center. The Norfolk Admirals will provide the opposition on September 30 in a 7:00 p.m. start, while the Penguins will venture to central PA for Sunday's game at 5:00 p.m.
Tickets for the exhibition games are $7 general admission, and will go on sale Friday, August 4 at 9:00 a.m. at the GIANT Center box office or by phone at (717) 508-BEAR. Parking is free for both Saturday and Sunday's games.
The BEARS will open the home portion of the 2006-07 season on Saturday, October 21, with an opponent to be announced in early August along with the rest of the 2006-07 schedule. Season tickets are on sale now by calling (717) 508-BEAR, with several ticket plans available.
