Calgary, AB - The Edmonton Oil Kings scored a trio of power play goals in the second period to defeat the Calgary Hitmen 4-2 on Friday night at Scotiabank Saddledome.

David Kope, Jake Neighbours, Dylan Guenther and Jalen Luypen, into an empty net, all scored for the visitors.

Blake Allan and Mark Kastelic replied for the Hitmen who outshot Edmonton 42-21.

The Western Hockey League leading Oil Kings also won the special teams battle going 3-5 on the power play while killing all three Hitmen chances including a 5-on-3 for 59 seconds.

Calgary, 14-8-3-1, returns to the ice tomorrow, Saturday, Dec. 7 in the Alberta capital for a rematch with the Oil Kings.

It's then back home to welcome Calgary Flames prospect Dustin Wolf and the Everett Silvertips in their lone meeting of the season on Sunday, Dec. 8. Game time is 4:00 p.m. for Sunday Funday presented by Ricky's All Day Grill featuring face painters, concourse activities, giveaways and a post-game family skate that is FREE with a game ticket.

Sunday Funday pricing sees a $9.99 ticket for kids 12 and under and a $15.99 ticket for adults (plus applicable fees and taxes). Sunday also marks the return of Farley's Family Feast. The pre-game meal, held in The Club, runs one hour prior to puck drop and begins at 3:00 p.m.
