Pelletier Lifts Cutters

Ben Pelletier went 2 for 3 on the night, and gave the Cutters a pair of important insurance runs with a two-run double in the bottom of the 8th inning.

Matt Vierling recorded a multi-hit night, finishing 2 for 4 with an RBI double. For Vierling it was his sixth multi-hit game in 10 games with Williamsport.

Jhordany Mezquita earned his first win of the season. Allowing just one run over five innings of work. The lefty walked two and struck out five Spikes hitters.

Randy Alcantara was perfect in three innings of relief, retiring all nine batters that he faced to record his first hold of the season.

Luis Ramirez earned his third save of the season, allowing a run on two hits and walk before closing the door with a strikeout.

The Cutters tied the Saw-Buck series at 2-2 in 2018 with the win. They are 2-1 against the Spikes at home this season.
