The Pensacola Pelicans and Coastal Bend Aviators played a close ballgame that was finally decided in the 9th and final inning. The Aviators utilized a lead off triple to score the games winning run, 3-2.

Pensacola scored the game's first two runs on one swing from rookie Bo Williams. Napoleon Calzado reached by error and scored on Williams' third long ball of the season.

Pelicans starting pitcher Colin Young held Coastal Bend scoreless for five innings and allowed only one run in the 6th. He did not factor in the decision but pitched a solid 6 innings, gave up two runs (one earned) on 4 hits and struck out 6 batters.

Coastal Bend scored one run in the 6th inning. Stephen Morales drove in Grant Richardson to cut the lead in half. The ball squirted part Aranguren, allowing Ryan Smith to score the team's 2nd run.

In the 9th, it didn't take long for Coastal Bend to score the go-ahead run. Smith tripled to center field to lead off the inning and came around to score from a sacrifice-fly from Chase Gerdes, making the final score 3-2.
