Pensacola Pelicans News Release

The Pelicans first-ever Suite Design on a Dime Contest was a huge success with the winner being announced today. Katie Denny and her design team were the winners for their re-design of a Pelicans suite at Pelican Park.

Pelicans season ticket holders were the judges of the suites, voting for which design they liked the most during the Pelicans first home stand May 14-17.

Denny's design featured a beach look and feel to it that can only be experienced in beautiful Pensacola, FL. Complete with pastel colors and paint, beach flag warning sign, sea shells, and beach wall décor, the only thing missing is the sand and ocean.

Three different groups each took on one suite located down the right field line. Suite one was redone to resemble a local naval aviators hangout complete with a wall mural, photos of pilot training squadrons, and a tribute to NAS Whiting Field. Suite two featured a more upscale design with an Asian influence that included plants, incense, and lighting.

The winning suite design team wins a free catered suite rental for 25 people to a future Pelicans game. The other two teams will also receive a night in the suite for their hard work and creativity.

Several dates are still available for companies to reserve the suites for a Pelicans game. The suites area ideal venues for company parties, family reunions, birthday parties, or customer/employee appreciation parties. To reserve a suite or for questions, fans can call 850-934-8444.

The Pelicans return home on Monday, May 25 @ 6:35 p.m. Tickets are available by calling 850-934-8444, visiting www.pensacolapelicans.com or Pensacola area Circle K locations.
