MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - Tuesday night's second game of a four-game series between the Myrtle Beach Pelicans and Potomac Nationals at BB&T Coastal Field has been postponed due to rain. The two clubs will play a Wednesday night doubleheader consisting of two seven-inning games beginning at 6:05 p.m.

In an April already marked by postponements and suspended games throughout the Carolina League, tonight's contest is Myrtle Beach's first postponement of the year. Rain began falling at BB&T Coastal Field around 3:00 p.m., and by 4:30, the field surface had accumulated over an inch of water rendering it unplayable for the evening.

Wednesday night will be '80s Night at BB&T Coastal Field for the second and third games of this four-game series. The Pelicans will start Tuesday night's scheduled starter Barret Loux in game one followed by Kennil Gomez in a nightcap spot start. Gates will open for the Wednesday twinbill at 5:30 p.m.

Tickets for Wednesday's doubleheader, the remainder of this seven-game Myrtle Beach homestand, and all other Pelicans home games can be purchased by visiting the BB&T Coastal Field Box office, the Tickets page at MyrtleBeachPelicans.com, or by calling (843)918-6000 or (877)918-TIXX.
