Pelech Nets Winner in 5-4 Overtime Victory

HARTFORD, Conn. - Adam Pelech scored the game-winning goal just 50 seconds into overtime on Friday as the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (6-3-0-0), proud AHL affiliate of the New York Islanders, earned a 5-4 victory over the Hartford Wolf Pack (3-5-1-0) at the XL Center.

Devon Toews (1g, 1a) and Bracken Kearns (2a) each recorded multiple points, while Christopher Gibson made 28 saves and improved to 6-0-0-0 this season. He is the first Sound Tigers goaltender to win each of his first six games to start a season. In addition, Gibson has won eight straight regular-season contests dating back to March 29th.

The Sound Tigers opened the scoring at 12:18 of the first period when Michael Dal Colle notched his fifth goal of the season. From the top of the slot, Dal Colle gathered a loose puck, drifted to his right and hammered a perfectly placed slap shot over Magnus Hellberg's;
