The Yankees scored 5 runs in the first inning on Friday night and never looked back, thumping Pawtucket 10-4. In his final outing of 2010, Adam Mills labored through 3.2 innings, allowing 8 earned runs. Mills finishes 2010 with a 4-10 record. The Yanks clubbed 4 homers in their 85th win of the year. Jesus Montero, Colin Curtis, Chad Huffman and Jorge Vazquez all went deep.
Bubba Bell had 3 hits including a 2 run double. Josh Reddick had a pair of singles, extending his hitting streak to 12 games. Lars Anderson and Gil Velazquez both had run-scoring doubles.
The series and the road portion of the 2010 schedule concludes on Saturday night at 7:05 p.m. Rich Hill (3-0,3.23) faces David Phelps (3-2, 3.32).
