Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The fifth-place IronPigs (56-85) play the finale of a two-game series against the third-place Buffalo Bisons (74-67) -- the Mets' top affiliate. With a 7-4 loss last night, the Pigs have dropped two in a row following their three-game winning streak. Although Lehigh Valley has still won four of its last seven, the team is just 12-27 (.308) over its last 39 affairs... Buffalo snapped a two-game skid last night and has now won three straight against the Pigs. Still, the Bisons are just 5-11 in their last 16 contests after storming back into the Wild Card chase with a 17-3 span, July 30 to August 21.
LHP Brian Mazone (6-13, 3.87) will start for LHV against LHP Adam Pettyjohn (2-4, 5.12).
First-Pitch is at 6:35 p.m. for CCP Photo Frame Giveaway, presented by The Finish Line Running Store.
