
PawSox Slide to Third Straight Loss

The Pawtucket Red Sox squandered a 4-1 lead and lost at Columbus on Saturday night, 6-4. The defeat was the season high third in a row for the Sox. The skid comes on the heels of a nine game winning streak. The Clippers induced the PawSox into 5 double plays.
The PawSox got on the board early as Alex Hassan knocked in the first of his two RBI in the third. The next one came an inning later. Che-Hsuan Lin followed with a 2 run double. Pawtucket didn't manage another score as they hit into double plays in the first, fourth, seventh, eighth and ninth innings.
Aaron Cook gave another solid effort, working six and a third innings, surrendering three runs. Andrew Miller allowed a run and a hit in two thirds of an inning. He fanned two as he continues his ML rehab. Tony Pena took the loss as he allowed the inherited runner and two others to score, as Pawtucket falls to 15-8.
The series continues on Sunday afternoon at 1:05. Justin Germano (2-1) faces Cory Kluber (3-1).
