Gwinnett hitters got after Teufel early, taking a 2-0 lead in the first off an Ernesto Mejia homerun. The Braves added another on a Jose Yepez single to take a 3-0 lead into the bottom of the second. The Hens then responded with two runs of their own, courtesy of an Audy Ciriaco double and a Bryan Holaday single to cut the lead to 3-2. Jerad Head singled in another run in the bottom of the third to tie the game, 3-3.

The Braves busted the game open in the fifth with a four run inning that chased Teufel out of the game after allowing six runs, four of them earned.
