The IronPigs (13-9) play Game Three of a four-game road* series against the Scranton/WB Yankees (10-10) at Coca-Cola Park... With a 3-1 loss last night, the series is now tied 1-1 and the Pigs have fallen to 2-3 during this span of 13-consecutive games in Allentown. The Pigs have managed just a 3-7 record after starting 10-2 -- the best start for a Phillies Triple-A affiliate since prior to the Scranton/WB Red Barons days (1989-2006)... The Yankees -- New York's top affiliate -- won for the first time in four tries against Lehigh Valley this season. In addition, the Yanks have won six of their last eight affairs since starting 4-8.

LHP Pat Misch (1-3, 4.87) will start for LHV against former IronPig and two-time Phillies RHP Nelson Figueroa (0-0, 0.00).

Tonight is a 5th Anniversary Commemorative Pint Glass Night, presented by East Stroudsburg U. First-Pitch is at 6:35 p.m.

EATING RAUL (Rated-R):

LHP Raul Valdes registered a bullpen-high 3.1 IP last night -- surrendering just 1 hit and 0 walks while fanning 3. Valdes now has a current 6.2 scoreless IP streak over his last 3 G. In fact, he's been unscored upon in 6 of 8 G and has only allowed ER in 1 outing (4/10 @ PAW) -- if you take that outing away (1 ip, 5 er), he's 1-1, SV, 2 H with a 0.00 ERA (13.1 ip, 10 h, 3 r, 0 er).

* Valdes has not issued a BB in his 8 G (14.1 IP) -- and his 0 BB in MiLB since 8/5/11 (15 G, 20.2 IP)... just 1 BB in last 41.2 IP!
