Pawtucket Red Sox News Release
The Pawtucket Red Sox won a Saturday afternoon marathon in Moosic, Pa. edging the Yankees 7-6. The nine inning game lasted 3 hours and 29 minutes. The victory pulls the PawSox to within a game and a half of first place in the North Division.
Andrew Miller started for Pawtucket and lasted just an inning and a third. Miller allowed 2 runs (1 earned), walking 4 and fanning 3. Blake Maxwell (1-0) got the win with an inning and two thirds of scoreless relief. Tony Pena picked up his first save with two shutout frames.
Josh Reddick clubbed his team-leading ninth home run, a three run blast for the PawSox. Nate Spears smacked his third homer, a 2 run shot to aid the attack.
The series concludes on Sunday afternoon at 1:05 p.m. Brandon Duckworth (3-1, 3.18) faces Hector Noesi (1-0, 3.29).
