DURHAM, NC - Justin Ruggiano's two-run single capped a four-run eleventh inning as the Bulls defeated the Syracuse Chiefs 6-5 to win their fourth straight game. The single was Ruggiano's fourth hit of the night and his second walk-off in the last three games against Syracuse.

With the Bulls trailing 5-2, Chris Carter led off bottom of the 11th with a solo home run off of Chiefs reliever JD Martin to cut the deficit to two. After Russ Canzler reached on a walk and Robinson Chirinos struck out, Chiefs manager Randy Knorr summoned Adam Carr out of the bullpen. Leslie Anderson singled off of Carr, then one out later, shortstop Ray Olmedo walked to load the bases with two outs. After Desmond Jennings worked a walk to cut the lead to 5-4, Ruggiano delivered with a blast over the center fielder's headed to plate the tying and winning runs.

In the top of the 11th, Corey Brown belted a two-run homer to right field that gave the Chiefs a 4-2 lead. They would tack on an insurance run when Jhonatan Solano drove home third basemen Tug Hulett making it 5-2.

Ruggiano finished the night 4-6 with two doubles and three RBI. This puts him just one double and seven RBI behind Chris Richard's career Triple-A team records in both categories. On the mound for the Bulls Alex Torres went six innings allowing just four hits and two walks while striking out eight. R.J. Swindle (1-0) picked up the win for the Bulls going 0.2 innings and allowing three hits and two runs, walking one and striking out one.

Durham will go for a sweep of the four-game series against Syracuse at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park at 5:05 p.m. on Sunday May 8 when they will send Brian Baker (0-1 6.23) to the mound against the Chiefs Ross Detwiler (2-1 4.33).
