Pats Send Two to World Under 17 Challenge

Regina, SK- The Regina Pats are proud to announce that they will have two players playing for team Western at the upcoming World Under 17 Hockey Challenge in London, Ontario.

The Regina Pats will send forward Garrett Mitchell, as well as defencemen Alex Pym. The tournament will be held from December 29th to January 4th and will showcase the best under 17 aged hockey players in the world.

Mitchell, (5'11",175 Ibs) the rookie forward out of Regina, SK has started the 2007-08 season with 2 goals and 2 assists in 22games. The feisty 16 year old has also picked up a 28 penalty minutes, to go along with a plus 1 rating. Mitchell was a 2nd round Bantam Draft pick of the Pats in 2006, 33rd overall.

Pym, (6'1",180 Ibs) the native of Winnipeg, MB was a 3rd round Bantam Draft pick of the Pats in 2006, 51st overall. The smooth skating defencemen has played in 12 games this season where he has recorded 2 assists and 12 penalty minutes.

Your Regina Pats next action in tomorrow night when the Pats travel to Medicine Hat to take on the Tigers, game time is 8:00pm.
