Regina Pats News Release
Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats Hockey Club has released overage forward Andrew Reider pending trade as the WHL twenty-year old deadline approaches on October 10th.
A local Regina product, Reider's work ethic made him a strong presence in the Pats locker room. He also worked his way to a spot on the Pats top line last season playing alongside Jordan Weal.
"This has been a very difficult decision to make as Andrew is everything we want our players to be," says General Manager Chad Lang. "He has been a great ambassador of our hockey club in our community, a tremendous teammate and leader. We want nothing more for him than the opportunity to play within the league as he deserves it. We wish Andrew all the best in his future endeavors."
In his Pats career, Reider skated in 177 total games while scoring 25 goals and chipping in with 26 assists.
