
Pats Headed to ADT Challenge

Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats will be without four of their top players and their head coach for the next few days, as they will be headed to Cranbrook, BC and Medicine Hat, AB to represent the WHL at the ADT Challenge. The Pats will be sending forward Jordan Eberle along with three defencemen including Nick Ross, Colten Teubert and Logan Pyett to take part in ADT challenge, as well as head coach Curtis Hunt.
The WHL's first game of the series will be tonight in Cranbrook, as Jordan Eberle, Nick Ross and Colten Teubert will all suit up for team WHL. Team Canada currently leads the series 3-1, after reeling off three straight wins. The two teams will then meet up again tomorrow night in Medicine Hat.
Hunt, who was the assistant coach for the Canadian National Junior team last season will be serving as the Head Coach for team WHL, in the games being played in Cranbrook and Medicine Hat. Hunt is in his fourth season behind the Pats bench and has led them to a 18-11-0-0 record, which is good enough for 1st in the East division.
Eberle, (5'11",170 Ibs) the second year forward out of Regina,SK has started the 2007-08 season on fire, leading the WHL in goals and scoring with 21 goals and 13 assists in 27 games. This past summer, Eberle took part in the U-18 National program, where the team finished in fourth place. Eberle will be taking part in game five of the challenge which will go tonight in Cranbrook.
Ross, (6'1",194 Ibs) the 1st round pick of the Phoenix Coyotes, has also got off to a fine start in the 2007-08 campaign leading all Pats defencemen in assists with 19. Ross the native of Lethbridge, AB, will be taking part in both WHL games tonight in Cranbrook and tomorrow night in Medicine Hat.
Teubert, (6'4",181 Ibs) the native of White Rock, BC, will be playing in his first ADT challenge come this week. The towering rearguard was the 1st overall selection by the Pats in the WHL Bantam Draft in 2005. Tuebert, also joined teammate Jordan Eberle, this past summer representing Canada at the U-18 Tournament in the Czech Republic. Teubert, will also be playing in both games for team WHL this week.
Pats captain, Logan Pyett (5'11",198 Ibs) will be representing Canada and WHL for the second time this season, as he took part in the Canada/Russia Super Series at the end of August. The native of Balgonie, SK has notched 13 goals (4 Game Winners), and 15 assists so far this season, to lead the WHL in defencemen scoring. Logan will be playing in the November 29th game in Medicine Hat.
