Regina, Saskatchewan - The Regina Pats (31-27-3-4) lost to the Swift Current Broncos (22-34-5-3) 3-2 in a shootout at the Brandt Centre on Friday night.

Game Story
The bullets were flying in the fourth meeting of the year between the Pats and Broncos. In the first period alone the teams combined to put up 30 shots on net. Despite the barrage, neither team could find the net. The visitors broke the stale mate early in the second thanks to Jamal Watson who converted the long flip pass from Glenn Gawdin into a breakaway marker. Regina retaliated on the stick of Adam Brooks who notched his 35th of the year. Cole Sanford added to the lead roughly four minutes later. Swift Current pulled even :22 second into the third. With the Pats Lane Zablocki serving a five minute major for charging and a game misconduct, the Broncos Jon Martin recorded his 37th of the season. The game stayed that way the rest of the period. In overtime, both teams had plenty of chances but could neither could convert during the 3 on 3. In the shootout, Swift Current won the game on their second attempt with Jon Martin recording the winner.
