In an interesting scheduling twist, the Rebels found themselves with two straight home games versus Regina to bookend a four game week. The first of those games came on a cold and snowy night in central Alberta.

FIRST PERIOD

Adam Brooks opened the scoring in this one as he picked up his own rebound and beat Rebels goalie Rylan Toth with a wraparound. Regina went up 1-0 12 minutes into the game.

Red Deer responded just over six minutes later while on a 5-on-3 powerplay. Ivan Nikolishin, not long after he was hit from behind into the boards, found the back of the Pats net with a snap shot from the high slot. Nikolishin's 16th goal of the was set up by Haydn Fleury and Colton Bobyk and tied this game 1-1.

SECOND PERIOD

Regina regained the lead 1:18 into the middle frame as Rykr Cole snapped one past Toth from the left wing side. Toth would come out of the Rebels net, replaced by Trevor Martin.

Conner Bleackley pulled the Rebels back even with his third goal of the year at the 4:59 mark from Presten Kopeck and Austin Strand.

Just 13 seconds later, with Toth back between the pipes, Taylor Cooper put the Pats ahead once again at 3-2.

THIRD PERIOD

The Rebels pushed late in the final period but the Pats held them off for a 3-2 win.
