
Patriots Win 3-2 in 12 Innings as Gamel Clubs Walk-Off Homer

Bridgewater, NJ - The Somerset Patriots (3-3, 53-23) defeated the Camden Riversharks (1-5, 29-47) 3-2 in 12 innings Wednesday afternoon at TD Bank Ballpark in game one of a day-night doubleheader. First baseman Mat Gamel clubbed a walk-off home run (4) as he finished a triple shy of the cycle.
In the top of the third inning center fielder Michael Rockett slapped a RBI single to give Camden a 1-0 advantage.
Catcher Norberto Susini hit a RBI sacrifice fly to stretch Camden's lead to 2-0 in the top of the fourth inning.
Left fielder Aharon Eggleston ripped a game tying two RBI double to even the score at 2-2 in the bottom of the fifth inning.
It was the Patriots 16th win in their final at bat and ninth walk-off win of the season.
Daniel Sattler Earned the win (5-2) in relief. Daniel Herrera suffered the loss (2-3) in relief.
