
Patriots Sweep Double Header for Five Straight Wins

Central Islip, NY- The Somerset Patriots swept both games of the double header against the Long Island Ducks at Bethpage Park on Tuesday night for a season high five game winning streak.
The Patriots took the first game 2-0. Right fielder Matt Hagen had Somerset's lone RBI in a 1 for 2 performance.
Somerset starter Jim Magrane (2-2) pitched 5.2 scoreless innings for the win, while Ryan Houston earned his fourth save of the season.
Somerset won the second game 3-2. The Ducks jumped out to an early 2-0 lead in the first inning on a two run home run by Ray Navarrete (22).
The Patriots tied up the game with runs in the fourth and fifth innings on an RBI single by Joe Burke and a solo home run by Yusuf Carter (5).
Somerset took the lead on an RBI single by Justin Huber for a 3-2 advantage in the top of the sixth.
Nic Ungs (4-7) earned the win, allowing two runs on three hits in six innings pitched. Houston (5) came on to earn his second save of the night.
