Brock Peterson clubbed a pair of homers, backing a quality start by Wardell Starling as Bridgeport completed a three-game sweep of the Barnstormers with a 10-3 triumph on Tuesday evening at Harbor Yard.

The loss dropped the Barnstormers five games behind York in the second half standings.

Lancaster erased the effects of Peterson's first homer with a three-run fourth. Fernando Seguignol led off with a home run just to the right of dead center to tie the game at one. Starling (3-1) recorded two outs, but Aaron Herr kept the inning alive with a single to right. Iggy Suarez chopped a single up the middle, and Matt Tupman gave the Barnstormers a 3-1 lead with a two-run double into the right field corner. Tupman got to third on a wild throw by Starling who backed up the plate, but the inning died there.

The second hit off Yunior Novoa (5-4) on the evening was a solo blast to left by Steve Moss with two outs in the fourth, but it wasn't until the bottom of the fifth that the Bluefish took control of the game.

Angel Chavez singled to left with one out and stole second on a pickoff throw to first. Prentice Redman contributed a bloop single to right to put runners at the corners. Novoa struck out Brandon Chaves for the second out, but Luis Lopez bounced a single into left to tie the game. Wes Bankston put Bridgeport on top with a lined single into left.

The lead grew inning by inning over the rest of the game. Michael Moras bounced a single over the head of Tommy Everidge to drive in a run off Tim McNab in the sixth. Bridgeport's sixth run crossed on a bad pickoff throw by Evan Englebrook, and Peterson followed with a two-run homer lined off the second tier of the outfield wall in left.

Lopez doubled home the final two tallies with two outs in the eighth.

Lancaster heads to Camden to open a three-game series against the Riversharks on Wednesday evening at 7:05. J.D. Durbin will take his fourth shot at win number eight for Lancaster. He will be opposed by lefty Wilkin De La Rosa (0-1). The game will be aired on Fox Sports Radio, 1490, WLPA and streamed live on sportsjuice.com.
