
Patriots Beat Bluefish 7-2

Bridgewater, NJ- The Somerset Patriots defeated the Bridgeport Bluefish 7-2 before 7,114 fans at TD Bank Ballpark on Friday evening.
Somerset scored six runs to break open the game in the bottom half of the second inning. RBI doubles by Bobby Stevens and James Skelton and RBI base hits by Aharon Eggleston and Jake Fox led the rally for the Patriots for the 6-0 lead.
The Bluefish got on the board with two runs in the top of the fifth following an error to make the score 6-2.
An RBI base hit by Eggleston in the seventh tacked on the final run for the Patriots for the 7-2 final.
Patriots star Graham Taylor (4-2) got the win after allowing two runs on five hits in six innings of work. Mike Parisi (1-8) suffered the loss, allowing six runs on six hits in six innings pitched.
The 2013 Somerset Patriots season presented by Ford will continue at home on Saturday evening when the Patriots take on the Bridgeport Bluefish.
