
Parr Pots Three Points, Blades Lay Smack Down on Oil Kings

BLADESMANIA: Forward Tyler Parr's three-point night laid the smack down in the Saskatoon Blades 4-1 win at Rogers Place against the Edmonton Oil Kings.
The 2005-born winger scored the opening goal of the game 2:01 into the game on a man-advantage and added two powerplay helpers the rest of the way. Parr has ten points (3G, 7A) in eight games in January and 26 points (8G, 18A) in 42 games.
Rookie netminder Evan Gardner fought hard for his 12th win of the season stopping 18-of-19 shots.
Toronto Maple Leafs' property Fraser Minten and Brandon Lisowsky, along with forward Rowan Calvert extended respective point streaks. Minten's point streak jumped to eight games (5G, 8A) with a two-point performance, Lisowsky extended his goal streak to six games, and Calvert's point streak sits at four (3G, 2A).
The Blades improve to 31-9-2-2 and sit first in the WHL with 66 points.
NEXT GAME: The Blades begin a three-in-three weekend on Friday when they visit the Art Hauser Centre to take on the Prince Albert Raiders.
