
Parkview Field Holiday Lights: a New Tradition

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne TinCaps are excited to announce a new holiday season event. Parkview Field Holiday Lights - A Walk-Thru Event - presented by Rohrman Automotive, Paul Davis, and Lear Corporation will be hosted at the ballpark for 50 nights from November 14-January 4.
Holiday Lights is a walk-thru experience of the ballpark featuring more than 1 million lights and displays choreographed to holiday music. Attractions will also include a train ride.
"This is going to be Parkview Field like fans have never seen before," said TinCaps President Mike Nutter. "We're so excited to bring something new to Fort Wayne and hope to add to the holiday magic in our area. We believe Parkview Field Holiday Lights is going to become a new tradition, creating special family memories."
In recent years, other minor league ballpark venues around the country have had great success hosting similar walk-thru holiday lights experiences. Tickets will go on sale at a later date. To learn more, call 260-482-6400.
Additionally, Parkview Field remains a popular destination for other holiday events, with indoor space available to rent in the Suite Level Lounge, the Lincoln Financial Event Center, and more areas. Check out more details at ParkviewField.com.
Parkview Field is more than baseball and hosts special events year-round, from smaller-scale business meetings to parties to larger events like the upcoming Indiana Mac & Cheese Festival on July 13 and Major League Baseball's Home Run Derby X on August 10.
In the meantime, the TinCaps (Minor League Baseball's High-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres) also still have 21 regular season home games remaining at Parkview Field through September 8. Upcoming promotions include Harry Potter Night, Marvel's Defenders of the Diamond Night, Military Appreciation Day, Hispanic Heritage Night, appearances by Bluey, 11 postgame fireworks shows, and more. So far this season, despite four rainouts, the 'Caps have averaged 5,201 fans per home game at Parkview Field. Fort Wayne's attendance ranks second out of 60 MiLB teams at the Single-A/High-A levels. The TinCaps are even out-drawing 23 teams at the Double-A level and 11 Triple-A clubs. The TinCaps recently hosted the second largest crowd in the franchise's 30-plus-year history, as 9,337 fans showed out on the Fourth of July.
