Great Lakes Loons News Release
The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced that Parker Brooks will return to the Loons' active roster after a stint with the Inland Empire 66ers (High-A, California League). While with the 66ers, Brooks went 0-for-5 at the plate, but pitched three innings in mop-up relief, allowing two runs and striking out three. A utility player, Brooks has played second base, left field and catcher for the Loons this season. He turned 26 years old Wednesday.
Loons outfielder James Peterson has been placed on the team's disabled list. He is suffering from an injured lower back.
Brooks will be active for tonight's game at Dow Diamond between the Loons and Clinton LumberKings, but he is not expected to arrive at the ballpark in time for the game.
