Panthers Aquire Ondrej Roman from Dallas in Exchange for Angelo

SUNRISE, Fla.(January 13, 2012) - Florida Panthers Executive Vice-President & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that Florida has acquired left wing Ondrej Roman from the Dallas Stars in exchange for forward Angelo Esposito. In addition, the Panthers have assigned Roman to the San Antonio Rampage (AHL).

Roman, 22, has played in 24 games with the Texas Stars (AHL) this season scoring one goal with four assists. He has also appeared in six games with the Idaho Steelheads (ECHL) this year registering six points (2-4-6) with two PIM. The Ostrava-Poruba, Czech Republic, native played in 72 games with Texas (AHL) during the 2010-11 campaign registering 22 points (8-14-22) and 32 PIM.

Roman was drafted by the Dallas Stars in the fifth round (136th overall) in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
