Paille returns to Amerks; Sekera receives first recall

(Rochester, NY)... Rochester Americans General Manager Jody Gage announced today that the Buffalo Sabres have recalled defenseman Andrej Sekera and returned left wing Daniel Paille to the Amerks.

The recall is the first of Sekera's career. The rookie has five assists in 11 games with Rochester. He notched three assists in his last two games. The Bojnice, Slovakia, native was the Buffalo Sabres' third-round selection (71st overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.

Paille returns after playing two games with the Sabres during his latest recall. He has three goals and 10 assists in 15 games with the Amerks this season. Paille has four assists in seven games with the Sabres. The Welland, Ontario, native was the Buffalo Sabres' first-round selection (20th overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.

Tonight, the Rochester Americans battle the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:35 p.m. at The Blue Cross Arena at the Rochester War Memorial. The game is the second of 10 scheduled contests between the teams this season. The contest will be broadcast live on Hot Talk 1280-AM WHTK, whtk.com and B2 Networks. After the game, fans can head down to Nathaniel's Pub (251 Exchange Blvd.) for the Labatt Postgame Party.
